Our Management System is based on processes which enable us to focus on Customer Satisfaction and drive the engine of Continuous Improvement. To support this effort Duer/Carolina Coil utilizes a Quality Management System that is compliant with the ISO 9001:2000 standard. Within the Quality Management System it is the responsibility of every employee to:

  • Strive for flawless quality in their individual activity
  • Understand their part in the process or chain of events that impacts our customer
  • Provide suitable measurement information to assess the quality and performance of current processes
  • Support the implementation of changes or improvements of individual activities or a chain of processes through constructive criticism, establishing facts and contributing as a part of a team.

State-of-the-Art Furnace Technology

Our Quality Management System applies to all areas of our operations.

1. Engineering and Sales: Our staff reviews your drawings and specifications to ensure we comply with all of your requirements. We then develop a custom spring specification and sequential work instructions for each part.

2. Purchasing: Duer/Carolina Coil has formed active partnerships with reliable material suppliers based on the suppliers’ ability to meet our customers’ needs. We monitor the suppliers’ performance and work with them to ensure they continue to satisfy our requirements.

3. In-Process Inspection: Duer/Carolina Coil utilizes in-process inspection at each step of manufacturing to ensure product conformance and maintain process capabilities. This helps the customer by holding down our costs and ensuring delivery of product as needed.



Computerized Load Testing

4. Final Inspection: All orders are checked to verify dimensional conformance and that the parts perform as required by the customer. We have computerized load testing equipment capable of testing loads from 50 pounds (23 kilograms) to 150,000 pounds (68,040 kilograms). Duer/Carolina Coil provides material and quality certifications as required.

5. Continuous Improvement: Duer/Carolina Coil’s Management Team monitors the performance of the Quality Management System and implements preventive actions and continuous improvement projects to enhance our performance. We encourage customer feedback as this is our truest indication of our performance and use this customer feedback to focus our efforts in continuous improvement.
